How it started
A different car almost every day of the week.
When I was growing up, my dad had a different car almost every day of the week, bought at auction, found in the back pages of Exchange & Mart, or from knocking on someone's door. Over my lifetime he's owned well over 250 cars. I thought that was normal, until the other kids at school pointed out they only had one car per parent.
At 18, I was into hot hatches and fast BMWs, then Land Rover Defenders once the end of production was announced. From there I started buying classics properly, including a Porsche 944 like my dad had. Everyone at school insisted it "wasn't a real Porsche," because they assumed every Porsche was a 911. It's since become one of the most desirable classics of its era, and it's still in the collection today.
